A message from Father Tudor

“Dear Friends;

A brief message in these difficult times to assure you of my love and prayers. None of us could have imagined we would live through such times. It is a great sadness to us all that the churches are shut particularly at this time of year when we are preparing to celebrate the Lord’s resurrection, but because he is risen, he is able to be with us all wherever we are, all the time.

Even though, for a while, we can not meet for worship this doesn’t mean that the worshiping life of the church ceases, so for the next few weeks we will be posting a brief order of service for Sundays and holy days on the church website and on facebook. Please join us in your own home for prayer. Because we can not receive the Eucharist either there will be a short act of Spiritual Communion there too, together with bits of information and news.

I will be going on my own to church each day as I normally do at 8.30 a.m. for Morning Prayer and at 5.30 p.m. for Evening Prayer and it would be good if you were able to pause at those times to say the ‘Our Father’ with me.
I will also be saying the Eucharist on my own at 9.30 a.m. on Sundays which might be an opportunity for you make the Act of Spiritual Communion as well and light a candle if you have one in the house.

If you would like to make specific prayer requests please ring or email me and I can light a candle in church or add them to my prayers morning or evening.

For a while things are going to be very different. Keep in touch and don’t forget I am happy to chat at any time.

With my prayers

Fr. Tudor
